The tax year ends every 5th April. We all have until 31st January in the following year to prepare and submit our self assessment tax return to HMRC. Payment is also due at that time.
We act as tax advisors and aim to ease the stress often caused by self assessment. We offer a comprehensive self assessment service helping you avoid costly mistakes.
We help you bring together all the relevant documentation, prepare the return & advise you of your tax liability & the due dates & offer advice on how you can minimise tax liabilities.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax launched on 6 April 2026 and is being phased in based on income. If your gross income from self-employment and/or property exceeds £50,000, you're now required to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates to HMRC instead of a single annual return, with a final declaration still due by 31 January. The threshold drops to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028, bringing many more taxpayers into scope over the next two years. If you're unsure whether this already applies to you, or want to get ahead of it before the threshold drops further, we can help you assess your position and get set up with compatible software.
